Yoga is a practice that anchors the soul to both body and mind. From fluidity of breath to the graceful movements of the body, aspects of life which we all take for granted, I believe that the practice of yoga helps us to centre ourselves and to find a calmness within. It allows us to move past that which we fear and opening us up to new challenges.
Heal and Tone offers tailored Yoga and balancing therapies. Bowen, Raindrop Therapy and Positional Therapy, they are non-invasive modalities that help the body heal longterm. Bowen, a hands on treatment releases stress and realigns the body through gentle moves over specific points on the body. Please view Bowen Therapy for more information.
The Raindrop Therapy also hands on relaxes and detoxifies the body through specific massage techniques on the back along the spine and feet using high grade essential oils. Please view Raindrop Therapy for more information.
In addition Positional Therapy is a manual therapy, gentle and effective in breaking habitual patterns in the body through strain-counterstrain, muscle energy and simple stretches. This therapy is sometimes coupled with Bowen depending on the injury. Please view Positional Therapy for more information.
Corporate Yoga: The Corporate Yoga Program is a tremendously successful practice which helps to bridge the gap between body and mind within the workplace. The mental benefits can range from the relief of stress and anxiety to an increase in memory, focus and alertness. It creates an overall effect that refreshes the mind and rejuvenates the body, resulting in increased productivity, lower employee absenteeism, higher work morale and most importantly, a greater sense of confidence within the individual. Confident decisions and greater motivation make the workplace a healthier, more balanced and pleasant environment for everyone involved.
Requirements call for any space that may accommodate 10-20 people, such as a boardroom or training room. Individuals will require a yoga mat and will need to abstain from eating at least one hour before class. Sessions are suitable for people of all levels.
